Details of the launch of the Fiqh of Hajj rituals program for the 1447 AH Hajj season

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and General Supervisor of the Ministry's Hajj, Umrah and Visitation Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, announced today, Sunday, at his office in the Ministry, the launch of the Fiqh of Hajj Rituals program for the 1447 AH Hajj season. This launch comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to serve the pilgrims and facilitate their performance of the rituals with ease and tranquility.
The historical context of Islamic awareness efforts during Hajj
Since the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – the wise leadership has taken upon itself the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors as a top priority. Historically, Islamic awareness efforts have developed remarkably over the past decades, evolving from simple study circles and lessons in the courtyards of the Two Holy Mosques and the holy sites to comprehensive and systematic institutional programs. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs is considered the cornerstone of this historical development, consistently updating its mechanisms and programs annually to meet the aspirations of pilgrims and facilitate their understanding of their religion. This aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to enrich the religious and cultural experience of the guests of God.
Themes and objectives of the Jurisprudence of Hajj program
represents The program on the jurisprudence of Hajj rituals a qualitative leap in modern Islamic awareness mechanisms. Overseen by the Ministry's Agency for Da'wah and Guidance, this program primarily focuses on explaining the rulings, procedures, and etiquette of Hajj and Umrah. It includes several precise scholarly and da'wah-related topics, such as explaining the different types of rituals, the prohibitions of Ihram, and the rulings on sacrifice and offering. The program also emphasizes strengthening the role of preachers and mosque staff during the 1447 AH Hajj season, guiding them to adhere to instructions and cooperate closely with all government agencies serving pilgrims. The launch ceremony was held in cooperation with the Institute of Imams and Preachers, in the presence of Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries and Directors General of the Ministry.
The expected impact of the initiative locally, regionally, and internationally
The impact of these awareness programs extends far beyond Saudi Arabia, reaching broad regional and international dimensions. Locally, the program contributes to organizing the movement of pilgrims and reducing violations of Islamic law and regulations by raising religious awareness, which positively impacts crowd management and the overall success of the Hajj season. Regionally and internationally, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who receive this knowledge return to their countries around the world as ambassadors of moderation and tolerance. They carry with them a correct understanding of Islamic doctrine and uphold the rituals of God according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and the understanding of the early generations of Muslims, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading global Islamic authority in disseminating reliable Islamic knowledge and combating extremism and radicalism.
Implementation mechanisms and comprehensive access for beneficiaries
To ensure maximum benefit, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs confirmed that the program will be implemented across the Kingdom's various regions, governorates, and centers. The implementation plan relies on the active participation of official preachers (both male and female), as well as registered volunteers in the "Taysir" system, in coordination with the Institute of Imams and Preachers. To broaden the program's reach and transcend geographical boundaries, the Ministry has employed a comprehensive blend of in-person and online methods, including social media platforms and live streaming, to guarantee that the educational and foundational content reaches the widest possible audience before and during the Hajj pilgrimage.
