The Subul Foundation enhances the Hajj experience for pilgrims with a bagless Hajj service

In a pioneering step aimed at facilitating the performance of religious rites, the Saudi Post Corporation continues to strengthen its pivotal role in supporting the Hajj and Umrah system by enhancing the experience of pilgrims through the launch of the "Hajj Without Luggage" and "Traveler Without Luggage" services during the 1447 AH Hajj season. This strategic move comes as an extension of national integration among the various entities concerned with serving pilgrims, and within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's continuous efforts to improve the quality of services provided and offer advanced logistical solutions that contribute to facilitating their movement and enriching their spiritual journey, in close alignment with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Logistics services development during Hajj seasons

Historically, baggage management and transportation has been one of the biggest challenges facing pilgrims arriving from all corners of the earth, as pilgrims bore the burden of tracking their luggage from arrival to departure. With the Kingdom's continuous development in crowd management and managing the massive influx of pilgrims during peak seasons, the urgent need arose to find comprehensive solutions that would alleviate the hardship for those visiting the Holy Mosque. Over the decades, the wise leadership has dedicated all available resources to developing the infrastructure and logistics. The current "Subul" initiatives represent the culmination of this historical journey, transforming the baggage handling process from a personal burden on the pilgrim into a fully integrated institutional service managed with the latest global technologies, allowing pilgrims to fully dedicate themselves to performing their religious rites in comfort and peace of mind.

Details of the Hajj Without a Bag initiative

The Subul Foundation provides its services through two dedicated channels to meet the needs of domestic pilgrims and those arriving from outside the Kingdom. The "Hajj Without Luggage" service within the Kingdom includes receiving and transporting luggage between various cities and regions, all the way to Makkah and Madinah. This process is seamless, with luggage collected from Subul branches located throughout the Kingdom and transported directly to pilgrims' accommodations within the holy sites. This proactive measure allows for a more convenient and comfortable travel experience, enabling pilgrims to begin their rituals immediately upon arrival without any delays.

No Luggage Traveler Service

Internationally, the “Lock-Free Traveler” service allows pilgrims arriving from outside the Kingdom to collect their luggage directly from the baggage carousels at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, and have it immediately transported to their accommodations. The service extends beyond arrival, also including luggage collection from the hotel upon departure and delivery to the airport. This integrated logistics system facilitates a smooth journey from arrival to departure.

Regional and international impact in enriching the experience of pilgrims

The strategic importance of these initiatives extends beyond local boundaries, leaving a broad and positive impact at both the regional and international levels, enriching the experience of pilgrims. Locally, these services contribute to alleviating congestion and overcrowding at airports, accommodations, and holy sites, thus facilitating smoother traffic flow and crowd management. Internationally, providing such high-quality services reflects the Kingdom's positive image and its exceptional ability to efficiently and effectively manage the world's largest gatherings. It also sets a new regional standard in the logistics sector related to religious tourism, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a leading destination for innovative solutions.

Effective partnerships and huge operational capabilities

To ensure the delivery of these services at the highest quality standards, “Subul” relies on an integrated operational network comprising more than 565 trained employees working around the clock. A large logistics fleet of over 100 trucks and 65 vehicles has also been deployed to enhance last-mile delivery services, thereby increasing operational readiness and efficiency during peak season. The Saudi Post Corporation’s participation in the Hajj season is embodied in its role as a national operator and a logistics and geospatial enabler, through effective partnerships with government agencies and the private sector, thus solidifying its position as a strategic partner in supporting major national events.
