This exceptional initiative is part of the Ministry's operational plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season. The course aims to provide guidance and awareness to more than 200,000 pilgrims visiting the mosque, and its activities will continue until the ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, ensuring that the guests of God are equipped with the necessary religious knowledge to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
Objectives and content of the Hajj scientific course
The Hajj Provisions course includes 36 structured lessons delivered by a select group of senior scholars and preachers. These lessons cover a wide range of vital topics relevant to every pilgrim, from a step-by-step explanation of the rituals and their rulings, to the interpretation of verses related to Hajj, the principles of monotheism and the veneration of God's sacred rites, and an overview of the virtues of good deeds. The course also includes simplified explanations of several scholarly texts, directly contributing to the establishment of sound Islamic principles among pilgrims, in accordance with the moderate and balanced approach adopted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Quba Mosque: A historical starting point for awareness and guidance
The choice of Quba Mosque to host these events was no coincidence; it holds immense historical and spiritual significance in the hearts of Muslims, being the first mosque founded on piety in Islam, built by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) upon his migration to Medina. Visiting and praying at Quba Mosque is a Sunnah (Prophetic tradition) observed by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from around the world. From this historical perspective, this magnificent Islamic edifice is being utilized as a beacon of knowledge, where the spirituality of the place converges with the solemnity of the time during the Hajj season, delivering a pure Islamic message to the hearts and minds of the pilgrims before they proceed to the holy sites.
Regional and international impact of awareness programs for pilgrims
The importance of these awareness programs transcends local boundaries, extending their positive impact at the regional and international levels. By targeting over 200,000 pilgrims from diverse nationalities and cultures, and by providing accessible educational content that accommodates a variety of languages, the Kingdom contributes to projecting a moderate image of Islam to the world. Pilgrims who receive education and guidance in these courses return to their countries as ambassadors of moderation and tolerance, thus strengthening Islamic unity and combating extremist ideologies. Furthermore, scheduling lessons to accommodate pilgrims' schedules reflects a high level of organizational professionalism, leaving a profound impact on the pilgrims and contributing to a sustained increase in their religious awareness.
An integrated system to serve the guests of God
This blessed course comes as an extension of the tremendous efforts exerted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to dedicate all its resources to serving pilgrims and visitors. The Ministry operates through an integrated system of outreach and guidance programs that extend beyond field lessons to include round-the-clock fatwa services, the dissemination of short awareness messages via modern digital platforms, and the provision of translated scholarly content in several international languages. These tireless efforts embody the utmost care that the wise leadership – may God support them – bestows upon the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and its constant commitment to enabling the guests of God to perform their rituals with clarity and tranquility, within a safe environment and comprehensive services that reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leading role and its great honor in serving Islam and Muslims.
