King Salman Relief Center distributes thousands of food rations in Gaza

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues its intensive relief efforts to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people. In this context, the center's central kitchen distributed 24,800 hot meals to the most vulnerable groups in central and southern Gaza, providing direct food assistance to thousands of families suffering from extremely difficult living conditions due to the ongoing crisis.
Ongoing efforts by the King Salman Relief Center in Khan Younis
In parallel with the distribution of hot meals, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 1,132 complete food baskets in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip. These food baskets benefited approximately 6,792 individuals from the most vulnerable families and displaced persons. This urgent assistance comes to address a significant food gap amidst severe shortages of basic necessities and the difficulty of delivering humanitarian aid to affected areas.
Continuing a long history of Saudi support for the Palestinian cause
These humanitarian initiatives are an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's longstanding and unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause. For decades, the Kingdom has consistently provided political, material, and humanitarian support to the Palestinian people. The establishment of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in 2015 was a pivotal step in organizing and unifying the Kingdom's external relief efforts. The Center serves as the official humanitarian arm, translating the directives of the wise leadership to provide relief to those in distress and assistance to those affected by disasters around the world, particularly in Palestine, which holds a special place in the hearts of the Saudi people and their leadership.
The humanitarian and regional impact of Saudi aid in Gaza
The importance of this aid extends beyond immediate relief, forming a true lifeline that contributes to strengthening the resilience of citizens within the Gaza Strip amidst deteriorating humanitarian conditions. Locally, hot meals and food baskets help mitigate the risk of famine and malnutrition, particularly among children, women, and the elderly. Regionally and internationally, the continuation of the Saudi popular campaign reflects the Kingdom's commitment to its leading role as one of the world's largest donors of humanitarian aid and underscores the necessity of concerted international efforts to secure safe and sustainable corridors for the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance to those in need.
