The King Salman Relief Center continues distributing food baskets in Khan Yunis

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributing urgent food aid to those affected in the Gaza Strip. The center's teams were particularly active in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, distributing large quantities of food baskets to displaced persons camps as part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

An organized distribution mechanism and effective partnerships

The field teams of the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage – the implementing partner of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in the Gaza Strip – undertook the field distribution tasks. The teams adopted a precise and organized work mechanism to ensure that aid reached those who needed it most, targeting the largest possible number of displaced families suffering from a severe shortage of basic food supplies, in coordination with the relief convoys permitted to enter the Gaza Strip.

Context of the popular campaign and Saudi support

This aid comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister – may God protect them – to launch a public campaign through the “Sahem” platform to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This campaign reflects the deep fraternal ties between the two peoples, as the Saudi people have generously contributed donations, enabling the center to operate air and sea bridges that have transported thousands of tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials since the beginning of the crisis.
