A narrow escape from disaster: Passenger plane crashes into a lamppost before landing in New Jersey

A United Airlines plane carrying 231 passengers escaped A sure disaster On Sunday, after one of its wheels collided with a lamppost and a truck while flying over a highway before landing at an airport in New Jersey.
Officials confirmed in Federal Aviation Administration The Boeing 767 aircraft, arriving from Italy, landed safely at Newark Liberty International Airport, and an investigation into the incident has been opened.
A preliminary investigation by the New Jersey State Police stated that “as a United Airlines plane was approaching the runway, one of its tires and the underside of the aircraft collided with a pole and a transport truck.”.
He added that "the pole in turn fell on a Jeep" that was also crossing the highway.

Accident with no injuries

No injuries were reported on board the aircraft, and the truck driver was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to a statement from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
United Airlines Flight 169 was carrying 221 passengers and 10 crew members when the incident occurred on a highway near Liberty International Airport around 2 p.m. local time on Sunday.
The H&S bakery truck was not damaged, but the aircraft's wheel struck the pilot's window, according to Chuck Patirakis, the airline's vice president, who added that the driver sustained minor injuries.
United Airlines issued a statement saying it intends to conduct a thorough flight safety investigation into the incident, and the crew has been suspended as part of that investigation.
