Passport Department volunteers during Hajj: A humanitarian effort to serve the guests of God

It works General Directorate of Passports During this year’s Hajj season 1447 AH, it carried out its field tasks through an integrated operational system aimed at facilitating the procedures for the pilgrims at the various ports of entry in the Kingdom, supported by human and technical capabilities enhanced with artificial intelligence.
And as an embodiment of care and attention toGuests of the Most MercifulThe General Directorate of Passports is making organizational and service efforts in which volunteers participate, who have been empowered and qualified to work within a professional environment that contributes to enhancing the pilgrims’ experience from the moment of their arrival.

Integrated field and organizational coordination

As part of its social responsibility, the General Directorate of Passports is bolstering its field operations at 16 international air, land, and sea ports across the Kingdom. This reflects the scale of the operational efforts undertaken by the Directorate during the Hajj season, including comprehensive field and organizational coordination to ensure smooth flow of movement and procedures at arrival and departure points.
The Directorate prepared the volunteers through specialized training workshops covering passenger interaction, the use of electronic gates, and travel procedures. This training equips them to guide and assist pilgrims efficiently within the terminals, enabling them to play supportive roles in passport control areas, including organization, guidance, assisting the elderly and people with disabilities, and educating pilgrims on travel procedures.

Serving the guests of God

The General Directorate of Passports enabled volunteers to contribute to serving pilgrims, extending its approach to enhancing community participation and building a comprehensive humanitarian experience that reflects the Kingdom's care and attention to pilgrims. This is achieved through a professional work system that integrates technology, expertise, and a spirit of giving.
These efforts coincide with the ongoing work of the Passports Directorate during the Hajj season, through supporting platforms with the latest equipment and systems, strengthening qualified personnel, and monitoring operations in the field through the Command and Control Center, which operates around the clock to ensure smooth procedures and continued high-efficiency performance.
