Urgent – The Meteorology Authority warns of heavy rainfall in the Eastern Province and several other regions

The Director General of Weather and Climate Forecasting revealed National Center for Meteorology Hamza Koumi, on Rainfall situation The expected rainfall, which is expected to affect most regions of the Kingdom, will range in intensity from moderate to heavy and will cover most regions of the Kingdom during the coming days.
Komi explained that forecasts indicate rainfall will reach a high intensity level in Eastern Province Mecca, Medina, and Al-Baha, in addition to parts of Asir, Jazan, and the southern parts of the Riyadh region.
He explained that the expected thunderstorms are usually accompanied by hail and very fast downdrafts, noting that these weather phenomena are very common and familiar during the current spring season.

Thunderstorms
Koumi further explained that the phenomena accompanying thunderstorms may include waterspouts or tornadoes, as spring is rarely without such weather events characterized by their strong and sometimes sudden activity.
He indicated that current forecasts point to the end of the weather system and its gradual decline, God willing, by next Saturday, with its effects limited to the southern parts of the Kingdom.
Koumi stated that the rainfall will eventually be concentrated in the border areas of some neighboring Gulf countries, after which the rainy air mass will begin to gradually move away from the Kingdom's skies, heralding a complete stabilization of the weather across most of Saudi Arabia.
