With a smoother journey… the “Makkah Route” initiative continues to serve pilgrims in Istanbul

Participating entities within the initiative are processing travel and passport procedures and baggage tagging at the initiative's headquarters, a step aimed at saving time and facilitating a seamless transition for pilgrims without the need to repeat these procedures upon arrival in the Kingdom.
These efforts are part of the Makkah Route initiative, one of the Ministry of Interior's initiatives under the Guests of God Service Program, which aims to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims and facilitate their journey in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
Entities participating in the initiative
The Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative for the eighth year in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Media, as well as the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the General Authority for Endowments, the Guests of God Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports, in coordination with the digital partner (stc Group).
Since its launch in 1438 AH (2017 CE), the initiative has served 1,254,994 pilgrims.
