The ongoing pursuit of those violating residency and labor regulations is not a recent development, but rather an extension of accumulated institutional efforts aimed at protecting national resources. Joint security field campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom resulted in the apprehension of 14,242 violators. Their violations included 7,884 residency violations, 3,948 border security violations, and 2,410 labor law violations. Regarding infiltration attempts, 1,449 individuals were prevented from crossing the border into the Kingdom. Ethiopian nationals constituted the largest group (71%), followed by Yemenis (27%), and other nationalities (2%). Additionally, 29 individuals were apprehended for attempting to leave the Kingdom illegally. These efforts extended beyond the violators themselves to include those involved in harboring, with 25 individuals arrested for transporting, sheltering, and employing violators. Currently, more than (36,365) expatriates are subject to the procedures for implementing the regulations, (6,285) violators have been deported, and tens of thousands have been referred to their diplomatic missions to complete their travel documents.

Strict penalties for those who conceal information and approved reporting methods
As part of its legal deterrent measures, the Saudi Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone found to be involved in facilitating the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transporting them within its borders, providing them with shelter, or offering them any form of assistance, will face severe penalties. These penalties include imprisonment for up to 15 years, a hefty fine of one million Saudi riyals, confiscation of vehicles and housing used in the crime, and public shaming of the convicted individuals. These acts are classified as major crimes warranting arrest and considered to be breaches of honor and integrity. The Ministry called upon all citizens and residents to actively cooperate and report any violations by calling 911 in the Makkah, Riyadh, Eastern Province, and Madinah regions, or 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom, stressing that security is everyone's responsibility.
