Coastal protection efforts in Jeddah: 40 rescues and 402 patrols
The Jeddah Municipality revealed the results of its monitoring and field operations dedicated to enhancing the protection of Jeddah's coastline during the first quarter of the year. The figures show that 402 monitoring tours were conducted, along with approximately 3,870 hours of field patrols. These intensive efforts aim to ensure the safety of beachgoers and preserve the stunning marine environment that characterizes the "Bride of the Red Sea." These operations resulted in the successful handling of 40 rescue incidents by specialized teams, in addition to the issuance of 350 navigation permits, all within the framework of enforcing regulations governing maritime uses, which cover a vast geographical area extending approximately 530 kilometers.

To ensure the protection of Jeddah's coastline, inspection tours included close monitoring of commercial beaches and resorts to verify their full compliance with safety and rescue regulations. The municipality is committed to the safety of facilities and activities offered to the public, and affirms its continued efforts, in an integrated manner with various relevant authorities, to develop the environmental monitoring system and enhance the quality of services provided to visitors and tourists.
