A fine of 100,000 riyals for harboring holders of visit visas in Mecca

It confirmed that hefty fines of up to 100,000 Saudi riyals will be imposed on anyone found to be harboring holders of any type of visit visa in Mecca and the holy sites. The Ministry emphasized that this penalty applies to any place of residence, whether it be hotels, furnished apartments, private homes, shelters, or even pilgrim accommodation sites and other facilities. It is not limited to direct harboring, but also extends to concealing violators or providing any form of assistance that enables them to remain in the city of Mecca and the Holy Sites. These strict measures will be enforced from the first day of Dhu al-Qi'dah until the end of the fourteenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah. The Ministry also noted that fines will be multiplied according to the number of violators who are harbored or concealed.
