In another incident, a citizen was apprehended for failing to comply with instructions and guidelines for preserving vegetation cover after he lit a fire in an unauthorized area within the Tuwaiq Nature Reserve. The relevant authorities confirmed that the fine for lighting fires in unauthorized areas is also 3,000 riyals, given the serious risks it poses, including forest fires and soil destruction.
