In an achievement that reflects the rapid development of the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Airlines a qualitative leap by securing second place globally in flight on-time performance for 2025. This prestigious ranking comes according to the report issued by the global website "Cirium", which specializes in monitoring and analyzing data from airlines and airports, thus consolidating the national carrier's position as one of the most efficient and reliable airlines in the world.
Record figures reflect operational efficiency
The report demonstrated Saudi Arabian Airlines' remarkable performance, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 86.53% . This rigorous assessment was based on monitoring the performance of 202,800 flights operated across Saudi Arabian Airlines' expanding network, which covers more than 100 destinations across four continents. This achievement represents a continuation of the airline's excellence, as it has maintained its leading position for the second consecutive year, reflecting sustained high performance rather than a temporary surge.
Management vision and strategic integration
Commenting on this achievement, the Director General of Saudia Group, Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, praised the integrated efforts of the teams across the planning, operations, and flight management sectors. Al-Omar emphasized that operational efficiency is not merely a performance indicator, but a fundamental pillar of the Group's strategic plan, directly linked to enhancing the guest experience, where punctuality is the most important criterion for travelers. This global ranking coincides with the national carrier's ambitious expansion plans, aimed at aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. Saudia is preparing to receive 116 new aircraft over the next few years, adding to its existing fleet of 149. This significant fleet modernization will contribute to increased operational efficiency, higher seating capacity, and the launch of new international routes, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency through the investment in qualified Saudi talent and the latest digital technologies in operations management.
