Results of the 2025 Falcon Beauty Contest: Winners on the second day of the King Abdulaziz Festival

The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 the world's largest event of its kind, continued Tuesday evening at its headquarters in Mulham (north of Riyadh). The second day of the festival featured intense competition in the "Mazayin" contest, which selects the most beautiful falcons according to precise aesthetic criteria, amidst a large audience and significant interest from local and international falconers.

Cultural heritage and global event

This festival is the culmination of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to preserve the rich cultural heritage of falconry, which is inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival is an international platform that brings together elite falconers, and its previous editions have successfully entered the Guinness World Records as the largest gathering of falcons in the world, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a leading tourist and cultural destination in this field.

Round results: First appearance of the Mongolian category

The second day of competitions witnessed the crowning of the winners in three main rounds. This year was distinguished by the inclusion of the “Mongolian” categories for the first time in the beauty contest, in a step aimed at diversifying the competitions and raising the level of challenge.

In the first round of the category (Free Young/Expatriate Mongolian Falcon), falconer Salman Al Abdulghani his absolute dominance by taking the first three places with his falcons (Sultan, Aliyan, and Shaqran) respectively, while falconer Abdulaziz Al Jalban came in fourth place with his falcon “Shadid”.

Al Abdulghani continued his brilliance in the second round of the (Free Young/Granded Mongolian) category, where he won four advanced positions, achieving first place with the falcon “Mulhim”, second place with “Arab”, third place with “Ramz”, and fifth place with “H1”, while the falconer Salman Al Balushi managed to snatch fourth place with his falcon “Uqab”.

As for the third round , which was dedicated to the category of (Free Falcon Chick Local Production), the falcon “Waddah” owned by Hamid Al Mansouri was crowned in first place, followed by the falcon “Al Zaam” in second place, and the falcon “Samou” owned by Hamad Al Qahtani came in third place, “Najd” owned by Zayed Al Qahtani came in fourth place, and finally “Dhahab” owned by Badr Al Aradi came in fifth place.

Million-dollar prizes and support for the hobby

The Saudi Falcons Club has allocated substantial cash prizes exceeding 38 million riyals , reflecting the great importance the leadership places on supporting this sector. The first-place winner in each round of the Al-Mazayin competition receives a prize of 300,000 riyals, second place 175,000 riyals, third place 100,000 riyals, and prizes decrease incrementally down to fifth place.

Through these valuable prizes and professional organization, the festival aims to sustain the hobby of falconry and pass it on to future generations, in addition to promoting the economic aspect related to production farms and falcon auctions.
