3 Islamic Affairs Programs for Hajj 1447 AH | Awareness and Guidance

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Directorate of Media and Corporate Communication, is launching a distinguished package of three programs on Islamic affairs related to Hajj for the 1447 AH Hajj season. This strategic step is part of the Ministry's extensive media efforts, undertaken by qualified national staff, to provide purposeful media content that serves the pilgrims. The program package includes: “Hajj Talk,” “Ambassadors of the Holy Sites,” and “Hajj: A Call,” which will be broadcast on the Ministry's official platforms and channels, as well as on a number of cooperating satellite channels, in order to implement the media and awareness plan aimed at highlighting the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the pilgrims.
The historical development of awareness efforts in the holy sites
Over the decades, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been committed to developing mechanisms for communicating with pilgrims. Historically, awareness and guidance efforts began with printed brochures and live lessons in mosques and camps. With technological advancements and the communications revolution, these efforts have moved into the digital and visual realms to reach a wider audience. The launch of specialized television programs is a natural extension of this long-standing tradition of serving those visiting the Holy Mosque. Since its founding, the wise leadership has recognized the importance of harnessing all available resources, including visual and audio media, to ensure that pilgrims perform their rituals according to the correct Prophetic guidance and to overcome any informational obstacles they may encounter during their spiritual journey.

The program also showcases the tremendous field and organizational efforts, conveying the profound human and spiritual experiences of the pilgrims. Meanwhile, the “Hajj: An Invitation” program focuses on disseminating guidance messages in various languages, showcasing initiatives that reflect the Kingdom’s mission of promoting moderation and serving Islam and Muslims.

These media initiatives are of paramount importance and have a far-reaching impact, extending from the local to the regional and international levels.
