This strategic initiative is part of a package of development programs adopted by the Presidency to improve the quality of services provided to visitors of the Two Holy Mosques and enhance the efficiency of field performance by staff, which will positively impact the comfort and peace of mind of the pilgrims.

The ongoing historical care of the Two Holy Mosques

Since the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – the state has placed the care of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors at the forefront of its priorities. Historic expansions and development projects have continued over the past decades, encompassing not only infrastructure and buildings but also the development of the human resources working in the Two Holy Mosques. The focus on training staff to deal with the millions of visitors from diverse cultures and languages is a natural extension of this great historical legacy, as the Kingdom constantly strives to utilize all available resources to ensure that the rituals and visits are performed with ease, comfort, and in a safe and secure environment.

Objectives of the course to improve the level of service for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque

The course, launched by Sheikh Al-Sudais, primarily aims to develop effective communication skills with pilgrims and to instill authentic human and Islamic values in interactions with them. These training programs enrich the spiritual experience of visitors and highlight the noble message of the Two Holy Mosques, which is based on tolerance, mercy, and utmost care for those who come to them. During the launch, His Excellency Sheikh Al-Sudais emphasized the critical importance of investing in human capital development, raising the level of professional readiness, and improving the field performance of male and female employees, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God support them – to achieve the highest standards of quality and institutional excellence.

The strategic impact of human resource development

This focus on developing staff skills has far-reaching dimensions and impacts. Locally, it contributes to creating a professional work environment within the Prophet's Mosque, enhancing operational efficiency and crowd management. Regionally and internationally, providing exceptional services reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's positive image as a cradle of Islam and Muslims, leaving a lasting impression on millions of visitors who return home with fond memories of the exceptional care they received.

Furthermore, these initiatives directly align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically the Guests of God Service Program, which aims to transform the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation experience. By training personnel in global best practices for effective communication, crisis management, and assistance delivery, the Presidency ensures the provision of a world-class model for managing major religious facilities, thus reinforcing the Kingdom's leading position in the Islamic world.
