Statistics of the Prophet's Mosque and the Noble Garden

In Medina, the Prophet's Mosque continued to welcome millions of worshippers and visitors, with the total number of worshippers during the same month reaching 23,116,271. Of these, 1,319,653 were able to pray in the Rawdah Ash-Sharifah (the area between the Prophet's grave and his pulpit) under strict organizational procedures, while 2,331,603 visitors had the honor of greeting the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his two companions (may God be pleased with them).

Technology and digital transformation in service of the Two Holy Mosques

The authority indicated that monitoring these massive numbers is done with extreme precision using advanced technologies based on sensors installed on the floors of the main entrances to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. This step comes within the framework of the Kingdom's digital transformation strategy to enhance operational efficiency, as this data helps in analyzing crowd flows and the distribution of human density, enabling the relevant authorities to make immediate decisions to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors.

The context of the Saudi vision and efforts

These rising numbers are consistent with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which places serving the guests of God at the top of its priorities, with ambitious plans to raise the capacity for Umrah pilgrims to 30 million pilgrims annually by 2030. The Kingdom is continuously working on implementing giant expansion projects and developing the infrastructure in Makkah and Madinah, to ensure the accommodation of the increasing numbers of Muslims around the world who are eager to visit these holy places, thus confirming its leading and Islamic role in the care of the Two Holy Mosques.
