Preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season: 95 indicators to measure the quality of services

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced its full operational readiness to receive pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season, through the activation of the Advanced Monitoring and Control Center. This vital center works in complete integration with various relevant entities to monitor the services provided to pilgrims in real time and with precision. This strategic step aims to contribute effectively to raising the efficiency of operational performance and improving the speed of response to all field changes, thus ensuring a safe and convenient spiritual experience.

A historical development and a digital vision to serve the guests of God

Over the decades, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed great emphasis on serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, evolving crowd management and service delivery mechanisms from traditional methods to full reliance on modern technologies and artificial intelligence. This development is a continuation of historical efforts aimed at facilitating the Hajj pilgrimage for all. Today, the monitoring center utilizes an advanced digital system and interactive dashboards that enable continuous monitoring of operational processes. This digital transformation supports workflow efficiency and enhances oversight of service quality, as part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to provide a more efficient and organized Hajj experience, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

A qualitative leap in the management and development of the Hajj season of 1447 AH

The Ministry explained that the center contributed to achieving an unprecedented qualitative leap in operational indicators during the 1447 AH Hajj season. This was accomplished through the implementation of an advanced and comprehensive measurement system that included tracking more than 95 precise indicators to measure the quality and efficiency of services provided. In addition, the operational status is monitored and field changes are tracked around the clock through immediate response to more than two thousand direct interventions. This procedure is carried out in coordination with all service providers and relevant authorities, within a unified work system aimed at addressing operational challenges and improving service quality, placing the comfort and safety of pilgrims at the forefront of priorities.

Strategic dimensions and global impacts of organizational success

The success of crowd management and the provision of exceptional services extends beyond Saudi Arabia, leaving a positive mark regionally and internationally. Domestically, this meticulous organization enhances the efficiency of the infrastructure and supports the national economy through the involvement of the private sector and specialized companies. Internationally, this early and thorough preparation sends a reassuring message to millions of Muslims worldwide, confirming the Kingdom's remarkable ability to host millions of pilgrims in a limited geographical area and in record time, while maintaining the highest standards of security, safety, and public health.

Strategic partnerships to ensure quality

To achieve these ambitious goals, the Monitoring and Control Center works in close collaboration with a broad network of partners, including seven government agencies and 25 companies specializing in Hajj services. This partnership provides relevant stakeholders with the accurate data necessary for timely and decisive action. The Center also monitors operational observations and empowers specialized teams to address them promptly, following rigorous follow-up procedures that ensure swift resolution and minimize any negative impacts of field challenges. This enhances performance efficiency and ensures maximum readiness at all service locations designated for pilgrims.
