Makkah Maternity and Children's Hospital: 86,000 radiological examinations in 2025

Ultrasound (excluding breast scans) topped the list with 43,241 examinations, followed by stationary X-rays with 37,800. In terms of service distribution, the department covered all treatment pathways, providing services to 25,178 inpatients and 23,058 emergency cases, in addition to receiving 20,394 outpatients. Regarding the beneficiaries, females constituted the largest group with 39,065 beneficiaries, while the number of males reached 27,479. The young adult age group (25-45 years) was the largest beneficiary with 43,140 individuals, followed by children up to 15 years old with 18,213 beneficiaries.
