Red and yellow alerts issued for Riyadh: Warnings of heavy rain, dust storms, and lightning

The center explained that the red alert includes the city of Riyadh and the governorates of Al-Sulayyil and Wadi Al-Dawasir, where rainfall is expected to continue rain Heavy rain is expected from 10:00 AM on Wednesday until 1:00 AM on Thursday, accompanied by high-speed winds, reduced horizontal visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms.

He also noted the issuance of a yellow alert covering the governorates of Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Al-Dilam, Al-Muzahmiya and Hawtat Bani Tamim, starting from nine o'clock on Thursday morning until six o'clock in the evening, with expectations of active surface winds stirring up dust and sand, leading to a decrease in horizontal visibility ranging between 3 to 5 kilometers.

The National Center for Meteorology called on everyone to take precautions, adhere to safety instructions, and follow continuous updates through official channels, in order to preserve lives and property.
