To protect the coastal environment, 30 volunteers clean the mangrove beaches of Darin and Tarout

This field step came in cooperation with one of the companies within the framework social responsibilityTo remove waste that distorts the environmental landscape and threatens the sustainability of the coasts.
Extremely important environmental asset
Mohammed Al-Mashal, Director of Community Participation at the Qatif Governorate Municipality, explained that preserving mangrove trees is a top priority within environmental sanitation plans.

Al-Mashal emphasized that these trees represent environmental asset , contributing directly and effectively to coastal protection and enhancing biodiversity in the region.
He revealed that the municipality has implemented more than 10 environmental initiatives since the beginning of 2026, targeting all segments of society to raise awareness and promote a culture of volunteerism.
The Director of the Community Engagement Department urged all residents and visitors to take the initiative and immediately report any negative practices related to littering by calling 940.
Great response from volunteers
On the ground, the volunteers demonstrated remarkable engagement. Volunteer Alawi Munir expressed his immense joy at participating in cleaning the beach of pollutants.
Munir emphasized that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility that falls on everyone and requires concerted efforts to ensure the continued cleanliness of the beaches.
Volunteer Hussein Al-Radwan agreed, describing his participation in cleaning the mangrove forests as giving him an indescribable sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
Al-Radwan emphasized the absolute necessity of refraining from littering, considering cleanliness the only guarantee for protecting the environment for future generations.
