Urgent: Al-Bassami team: Total number of violators and deportees has decreased by 44%

Al-Bassami explained that the Hajj security system is working this year within a complete integration between all security, service and governmental bodies, under the supervision of the Supreme Hajj Committee, and in coordination with the authorities concerned with serving the Two Holy Mosques and service providers, noting that this integration is based on the clarity of roles, the exchange of information and the unification of the operational position, with the aim of raising the quality of services and the speed of field response.

He explained that operational plans have been adopted for each stage of Hajj, starting from arrival, through the Day of Tarwiyah, the ascent to Arafat, the departure, and the days of Tashreeq, culminating in the departure stage.
These plans take into account the nature of each ritual, manage crowd density, and allocate pathways within vital facilities, most notably the Jamarat facility and the Mataf (circumambulation area). He noted that traffic plans were implemented early on the roads leading to Makkah and the Holy Sites to ensure the ease of movement for pilgrims and the smooth flow of traffic. He pointed out that crowd management plans focus on organizing human flow, distributing density, and minimizing overlap between pathways, while preparing all roads and passageways within the Grand Mosque and the Holy Sites according to the highest safety standards.
He added that Hajj security forces conducted numerous field exercises and drills to test the readiness of various security and service sectors and enhance coordination among them. This contributes to reducing response times and addressing any issues before reaching the peak of operations during the season.

Pilgrims' safety

Lieutenant General Al-Bassami emphasized that the safety of pilgrims is a top priority in all security, organizational, and traffic plans. He explained that the Joint Command and Control Center includes representatives from various participating entities and is responsible for monitoring real-time situations and coordinating field responses, in addition to following up on reports and handling them according to precise and well-defined operational procedures.
He revealed the use of modern technologies and smart data to support field decision-making and improve crowd management, including aerial surveillance, real-time analysis, and technologies used within the Grand Mosque, the Holy Sites, and high-density locations. He affirmed that technology represents a supporting element to the human security efforts in the field.
Regarding addressing violations, the Hajj Security Forces Commander announced the seizure of hundreds of fake Hajj campaigns across the Kingdom and their return.

Level of compliance with instructions

Al-Bassami confirmed that field indicators showed a clear improvement in compliance with regulations compared to last year, with the total number of violators and deportees decreasing by 44%, and fraudulent Hajj campaigns declining by 13%.
He explained that these indicators reflect the impact of strict enforcement of regulations, the effectiveness of preventive and proactive measures, and the increased awareness among the target groups regarding the importance of adhering to Hajj regulations. The
Hajj Security Forces Commander called on everyone to obtain the required permits and to avoid being misled by fraudulent campaigns or attempts to enter Mecca and the Holy Sites illegally, emphasizing that the safety of the Hajj is a shared responsibility that begins with adherence to the approved regulations and procedures.
Lieutenant General Al-Bassami concluded by affirming that all relevant authorities are working under the guidance of the wise leadership and with the direct support of His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior and the Minister of Hajj and Umrah to provide the best possible services to the pilgrims and enhance their spiritual and organizational experience during the 1447 AH Hajj season.
