Within 18 minutes, a medical team in Mecca ended the suffering of a resident from an acute heart attack

A specialized medical team atAl-Noor Specialist Hospital, a member of the Makkah Health Cluster, successfully saved the life of a 69-year-old Pakistani resident who suffered a severe heart attack requiring immediate intervention under the emergency heart.
Upon the patient's arrival at the emergency department, complaining of severe chest pain and shortness of breath, the medical staff immediately performed the necessary examinations and an electrocardiogram (ECG), which confirmed the heart attack and necessitated immediate transfer to the operating room.
standard response speed
The medical team was able to make the decision to intervene and transfer the patient to the cardiac catheterization unit in a record time of no more than 18 minutes from his admission to the hospital. The interventional catheterization revealed a complete blockage in the right coronary artery.
Thanks to the team's skill, a stent was implanted in the affected artery to restore blood flow to the heart in a procedure that lasted 47 minutes under the supervision of a consultant cardiac catheterization specialist. The patient's condition then stabilized, and he was transferred to the intensive care unit for observation.
Medical staff efficiency
The Makkah Health Cluster affirmed that this medical success reflects the high level of preparedness of its healthcare facilities and the ability of its staff to handle critical cases according to the highest international standards.
The cluster explained that reducing the time required for diagnosis and treatment decision-making is a crucial factor in saving lives and minimizing serious complications resulting from heart attacks, thus demonstrating the continuous improvement in the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents.
