On schedule... Details of the Kingdom's hosting of the Global Forum on Artificial Intelligence Ethics

This comes in cooperation with the International Center for Research and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE), during the period from September 14 to 17, 2026 in Riyadh.

This hosting is an extension of the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen international partnerships with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and its ongoing support for developing ethical frameworks for artificial intelligence.
The International Centre for Research and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (ICAIRE), a Category II center under the auspices of UNESCO and based in Riyadh, plays a pivotal role in supporting research and policies related to AI ethics at the international level.
This hosting also reflects the Kingdom’s firm commitment to promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence, actively contributing to shaping an ethical and inclusive digital future, and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Global Forum on Artificial Intelligence Ethics
The UNESCO Global Forum on AI Ethics is a high-level international platform dedicated to discussing the ethical challenges and opportunities associated with the development and use of artificial intelligence technologies.
It brings together leading decision-makers and experts from around the world, along with ministers and representatives of international organizations, to support the application of relevant international principles and achieve a balance between technological advancement and social responsibility.
The Kingdom's hosting of this global forum in Riyadh coincides with the declaration of 2026 as the "Year of Artificial Intelligence," as well as the organization by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) of the fourth edition of the Global AI Summit from September 15-17, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA – may God protect him – further solidifying Riyadh's position as a leading global destination for hosting major international events in the field of artificial intelligence.
