Eid al-Fitr holiday: The Roads Authority issues important guidelines before traveling between cities in the Kingdom

These efforts aim to ensure safe and smooth access, enhance the user experience, and contribute to achieving the goals of the Roads Sector Program.
Preparations early
The Roads Authority explained that it began preparations early by conducting a comprehensive survey of the road network across all regions of the Kingdom, which totals more than 73,000 kilometers, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
The Authority also confirmed the presence of a team of 300 engineers and inspectors specializing in roads and quality. It urged road users to fully adhere to safety guidelines before traveling between cities within the Kingdom, emphasizing that this contributes to raising the level of safety and readiness on the network.
Road Quality Index
She noted that these efforts support the Roads Sector Program's objectives of achieving a ranking of sixth globally in the Road Quality Index and reducing road fatalities to less than 5 per 100,000 inhabitants.
They also aim to ensure the road network meets the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) safety standards and maintain a high level of service capacity.
