Security plan for the Hajj season in Taif for the year 1447 AH

His Royal Highness Prince Fawaz bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Taif, was briefed today on the details of the security plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season in Taif, which aims to organize and secure the movement of pilgrims through the governorate's land and air entry points. This came during an expanded meeting held in the presence of the Taif Police Chief, Brigadier General Dhaifallah bin Ghumaidh, and the Director of Passports for the governorate, Brigadier General Fahd Al-Otaibi, along with a number of leaders from various security sectors, such as traffic and highway patrol forces. The meeting also included a review of the equipment at the Al-Bahita security checkpoint.
Pillars of the security plan for the Hajj season in Taif and securing the entry points
The Taif Governorate serves as the eastern gateway to the holy city of Mecca and holds immense historical and geographical significance during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. It encompasses two major Miqat points: Qarn al-Manazil (Al-Sayl al-Kabir) and Wadi Mahram, through which hundreds of thousands of pilgrims pass annually. Therefore, the Al-Bahita security checkpoint plays a crucial role as a key safeguard for screening and verifying Hajj permits, preventing unauthorized individuals from entering the holy sites, and thus contributing to the safety of pilgrims, regulating their numbers in accordance with the capacity of the holy sites, and providing a secure and spiritually enriching environment.
Integrating security and technical efforts to serve the pilgrims
During the meeting, His Highness the Governor of Taif listened to a detailed explanation of the field plans that rely on employing modern technologies and electronic connectivity to streamline procedures at Taif International Airport and the land border crossings leading to Mecca. The participating security agencies confirmed their complete readiness to implement the field plans according to the highest international safety standards, ensuring smooth traffic flow and preventing congestion. This joint coordination has an impact not only locally but also regionally and internationally, reflecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's distinguished image in managing millions of pilgrims and providing the highest quality services to pilgrims from all corners of the earth.
Praise for joint efforts and government coordination
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prince Fawaz bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz commended the tireless efforts of the security personnel in Taif, praising the high level of integration and coordination between the relevant security and government agencies. His Highness emphasized that these efforts stem from the wise directives of the leadership, which aim to dedicate all available material and human resources to enable pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease, tranquility, and safety, and to enhance the quality of services provided to the guests of God throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
