Performing the Tahajjud prayer in the Prophet's Mosque amidst a spiritual atmosphere

Hundreds of thousands of worshippers and visitors performed the Tahajjud prayer at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina on the 27th night of Ramadan, amidst a deeply spiritual and serene atmosphere. The mosque's halls, courtyards, and roof were filled with worshippers who came from within Saudi Arabia and abroad, seeking Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) during the last ten nights of this blessed month, hoping for forgiveness and deliverance from Hellfire from God Almighty.
The historical and spiritual significance of the last ten days
The greatness of these nights is evident in their close connection to the blessed life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who exerted himself in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan more than at any other time. Observing these nights in the city of the Prophet is a long-standing tradition passed down through generations. Prayer in this sacred place is multiplied a thousandfold compared to prayers elsewhere, except for the Sacred Mosque in Mecca, which explains the influx of Muslims from all corners of the earth, reflecting the profound spiritual and historical connection to this great Islamic landmark. The 27th night is considered one of the most auspicious nights for seeking Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), which is better than a thousand months.
The imams of the Grand Mosque recite the Quran and offer supplications
The first two rak'ahs of the prayer were led by Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Buaijan, while the third and fourth rak'ahs were led by Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Barhaji. The final rak'ah, including the Witr prayer, was led by Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Hudhaifi. He recited the Qunut supplication with heartfelt words that moved many to tears, asking God Almighty to accept the Muslims' fasting, prayers, and good deeds, to answer their supplications, to conclude Ramadan with mercy, forgiveness, and deliverance from Hellfire, and to protect the Muslim world from all harm.
Dimensions and impact of Tahajjud prayer in the Prophet's Mosque globally
The impact of performing the Tahajjud prayer in the Prophet's Mosque far beyond those present, its spiritual influence reaching the entire Muslim world. Through live broadcasts on satellite channels and digital platforms, the eyes and hearts of millions of Muslims worldwide are turned towards these sacred sites, strengthening the unity and solidarity of the Muslim Ummah. On a local and regional level, this massive annual event highlights the leading and pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, reflecting its exceptional ability to manage millions of pilgrims with efficiency and competence, leaving a profound and positive impression on visitors and observers globally.
An integrated service system for the comfort of the pilgrims
To ensure the comfort of worshippers, the Prophet's Mosque witnessed exceptional integration of organizational, guidance, security, and health services provided by the relevant authorities. The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in cooperation with various governmental and volunteer sectors, worked to prepare walkways, provide wheelchairs for the elderly and people with disabilities, distribute chilled Zamzam water bottles, and intensify 24/7 sanitization and disinfection operations. All these tremendous efforts directly contributed to enabling visitors to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility during these blessed nights.
