The Governor of Riyadh crowns the winners of the King Khalid Award 2025

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, sponsored yesterday evening the ceremony honoring the winners of the King Khalid Award for the year 2025. The ceremony was held in the presence of a select group of Their Highnesses, Excellencies and officials, to celebrate leading national models in the fields of sustainability, excellence of non-profit organizations and development partners.
A legacy of giving and keeping pace with Vision 2030
This award is an extension of the legacy of King Khalid bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on him – who was known for his profound interest in social and humanitarian issues. The King Khalid Foundation is now a leading beacon of development work in the Kingdom, and the award serves as an effective tool to enhance the efficiency of the non-profit sector and promote sustainability practices in the private sector.
In his address during the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Award Committee, affirmed that the generous royal patronage reflects the wise leadership's commitment to supporting social and developmental work. His Highness noted that the award is progressing steadily and in harmony with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which seeks to empower the third sector, increase its contribution to the GDP, and promote a culture of excellence and social innovation.
List of winners of the King Khalid Award 2025
The ceremony witnessed the announcement of the names of the winning entities and initiatives that were subject to precise evaluation criteria, and the results were as follows:
- Sustainability branch (dedicated to private sector establishments):
- First place: stc group.
- Second place: Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden).
- Third place: Alinma Bank.
- Non-Profit Organizations Excellence Branch (for Outstanding Administrative Performance):
- First place: The Eastern Province Orphan Care Charity Association (Binaa).
- Second place: Orphan Care Association in Hafr Al-Batin Governorate (Tara’uf).
- Third place: Al-Ahsa Charity Association.
- Development Partners Branch (for Social Development Work):
- First place: The "Mudakkir" application for teaching the Holy Quran.
- Second place: "Hakina Social Business Company" initiative.
- Third place: The "Endowment Seat" initiative.

Growing competitiveness and societal impact
The Secretary-General of the Award, Saud Al-Shammari, explained that this year's edition witnessed unprecedented participation, with over 1,098 applicants, reflecting a growing awareness among institutions and individuals of the importance of institutional excellence and social impact. The award plays a pivotal role in motivating organizations to adopt global best practices in governance and sustainability, which positively impacts the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
A historical exhibition and 16 years of excellence
The ceremony included an accompanying exhibition showcasing historical artifacts belonging to King Khalid (may God have mercy on him), offering attendees an interactive experience that connected the past with the present and highlighted the enduring values upon which the Saudi state was founded in serving society. Attendees also celebrated the 16th anniversary of the award, which has become a benchmark for national excellence and a key driver of sustainable development in the Kingdom.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Royal Highness the Prince of Riyadh received a commemorative gift from Prince Faisal bin Khalid, and commemorative photos were taken with the winners, on a night that embodied the cohesion of the leadership with the creative and distinguished sons of the nation.
