This visit, headed by Council Member and Committee Chairman Dr. Issa Al-Otaibi, is part of a series of inspection tours of various sectors within the Ministry of Transport and Logistics' system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, the Haramain High-Speed Railway project, officially launched in 2018, is one of the largest public transport projects in the Middle East, aiming to provide a safe and rapid means of transportation linking Mecca and Medina, passing through Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City, thus marking a qualitative leap in the history of serving pilgrims.

They were received by the General Manager of Operations for the Haramain Railway, Engineer Yasser Al-Harbi, the Head of the Haramain Railway Station in Jeddah, Engineer Tariq Al-Zuhairi, and the Head of the Haramain Railway Station in Makkah, Rawan Jaber. The delegation received a comprehensive briefing from the officials on the station facilities, the operational procedures, and the efforts made to facilitate travel for passengers between Makkah and Madinah.
