The 76th Saudi plane carrying aid to Gaza arrives at El Arish Airport

Saudi relief plane arrived today at El Arish International Airport in Egypt, as part of the ongoing Saudi air bridge to aid the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This step comes in close coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the Kingdom's embassy in Cairo to ensure the aid reaches its destination as quickly as possible.
The new plane carries various shipments, including food baskets and shelter bags for those affected, in preparation for their transfer through approved crossings into the Gaza Strip, where residents are facing extremely harsh living conditions.
Saudi air bridge continues
The dispatch of this aircraft comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to provide immediate and urgent support to our brothers in Palestine. The arrival of the 76th aircraft reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to the continued flow of humanitarian aid, as the air bridge has not stopped since the outbreak of the crisis, making it one of the largest air relief bridges currently operating in the Gaza Strip.
The context of the crisis and the urgent humanitarian need
This aid arrives at a critical time, as the Gaza Strip suffers from a severe shortage of basic necessities, including food, medicine, and shelter, due to the current situation and the ongoing displacement of its population. The Saudi aid, which includes food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, is helping to bridge a significant gap in the daily needs of thousands of Palestinian families who have lost their homes and livelihoods, thus contributing to alleviating the severity of the humanitarian crisis.
The Kingdom's historical and pioneering role
This support is not a fleeting event, but rather an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's historical and pioneering role in standing by the Palestinian people through various hardships and crises. Through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the Kingdom reaffirms its unwavering commitment to humanitarian and fraternal principles, as it is at the forefront of donor countries providing humanitarian aid in the region. This effort also highlights the high level of coordination between the Kingdom and the Arab Republic of Egypt to facilitate the entry of aid through El Arish Airport, which has become a vital lifeline for Gaza.
