The Saudi Foreign Minister discusses regional developments with his Omani counterpart

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received in Riyadh today His Excellency Mr. Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, in a high-level diplomatic meeting that reflects the depth of the fraternal ties that unite the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, in order to serve the common interests of the two peoples and countries. They also discussed at length the latest developments in the region, emphasizing the need to continue and intensify efforts aimed at achieving regional and international security and stability.
The depth of Saudi-Omani relations
This visit comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and continuous consultation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, two countries bound by deep-rooted historical ties based on kinship, neighborliness, and a shared destiny. The leaderships of both countries are working diligently to propel these relations toward broader horizons, particularly through the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council, which serves as a comprehensive framework for enhancing cooperation in the political, economic, and security sectors.
Relations between Riyadh and Muscat are of particular strategic importance in light of the challenges facing the Middle East region, as their visions coincide on many issues, most notably supporting joint Gulf action and strengthening the Gulf Cooperation Council system.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the region and the pressing issues requiring close diplomatic coordination. Both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman play pivotal roles in resolving regional crises.
