Saudi sports have transformed into a professional industry attracting global attention, particularly with the influx of international stars to the Saudi League and the Kingdom's hosting of major sporting events. This radical transformation has created an urgent need to develop sports media discourse, moving it from mere description and emotional commentary to technical analysis based on data and facts, enabling it to keep pace with the rapidly evolving level of competition.
Modern analytical skills and multiple platforms
The program's primary objective was to refine participants' skills and equip them with the latest knowledge tools in technical analysis. The training content included advanced modules such as enhancing the ability to read matches in depth, understanding different tactical schools of thought among coaches, and utilizing modern data and statistics to deliver accurate and professional analytical content. The program also focused on delivering this content across various modern media platforms, from traditional television studios to podcasts and social media platforms, which have become a significant part of today's sports media landscape.
Training staff and raising professional quality
The program featured practical applications and rich interactive discussions that contributed to enhancing the professional competence of the participants and qualifying them to practice the role of sports analyst according to systematic principles and international standards. At the program's conclusion, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, Assistant Minister of Media and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Media Academy, emphasized the paramount importance of such high-quality programs in his address. He noted that they represent a fundamental pillar for empowering Saudi media professionals, strengthening professionalism, and building a promising generation capable of producing media content that meets the aspirations of the current era and effectively contributes to developing the sports media landscape in a manner befitting the Kingdom's international standing.
It is worth mentioning that this program is part of a series of initiatives aimed at developing national competencies and raising the quality of media content, to ensure the competitiveness of Saudi sports media and its ability to cover upcoming international events and championships with high professionalism.
