This initiative is a key component of the Guests of God Service Program, one of the most important programs of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to bring about a qualitative leap in the services provided to pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah. Historically, entry procedures at Saudi airports were time-consuming due to the millions of pilgrims arriving simultaneously. Hence, the proactive idea of transferring these procedures to the pilgrims' countries of origin led to a true revolution in crowd management and the facilitation of religious travel.
Integrated system and streamlined procedures
The staff at the Moroccan border crossing are working to complete the necessary procedures for pilgrims in their home countries before their departure. These steps begin with verifying biometric data, issuing boarding passes, tagging and sorting luggage, and culminating in passport control.
