The Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah is fully prepared for the pilgrims

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance announced the completion of all preparations and arrangements, confirming the readiness of Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah to receive pilgrims. This achievement follows the pilgrims' departure from the sacred site of Arafat, where they performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers combined and shortened, as part of the comprehensive operational plan for the Hajj season. These efforts reflect the wise leadership's commitment to providing a spiritually uplifting and comfortable environment for the pilgrims.

The historical and religious significance of the site of the Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah

The Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram Mosque in Muzdalifah is one of the most prominent Islamic and historical landmarks in the Holy Sites. Located approximately midway between Arafat and Mina, it is the place where pilgrims stand on the night of the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah after departing from Arafat. This blessed site is mentioned in the Holy Quran in the verse: "Then when you depart from Arafat, remember Allah at Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram." Historically, at the beginning of the Islamic era, the mosque was a modest walled enclosure. Over time and through successive Islamic periods, it underwent numerous expansions and developments, culminating in the prosperous Saudi era, which has given the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites great attention and care. Today, it stands as an architectural edifice equipped with the latest technologies to serve millions of Muslims.

Details of modern equipment and maintenance work

In its ongoing efforts to provide the best services, the Ministry has completed all maintenance, renovation, and equipping work at the mosque. This included a comprehensive upgrade of the sound systems and improved loudspeaker performance to ensure the call to prayer, the iqama (second call to prayer), and prayers are heard clearly by all attendees. Modern, high-definition surveillance cameras were also installed, directional signs were updated in multiple languages, and emergency exits and entrances were repaired. These improvements directly contribute to enhancing the safety and comfort of pilgrims and facilitating smooth movement within the mosque and its surrounding area.

The mosque was fully furnished with luxurious, high-quality carpets covering a total area of approximately 5,000 square meters. To ensure easy entry and exit and to manage the flow of large crowds, the mosque was equipped with nine main gates, four secondary gates, and eight emergency exits.

The impact of integrated services on the experience of pilgrims

The efforts exerted in preparing the holy sites extend far beyond the local level, reaching broad regional and international dimensions. Internationally, these massive preparations reflect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's exceptional ability to manage the world's largest human gathering efficiently and effectively, thus reinforcing its leading role in serving Islam and Muslims. On an individual level, the provision of a safe, comfortable, and modernly equipped environment positively impacts the pilgrim's spiritual experience, allowing them to fully dedicate themselves to performing the rituals, supplications, and remembrance of God without being distracted by any logistical or organizational obstacles.

These tremendous efforts are part of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance's strategic plan to prepare the mosques in the Holy Sites and enhance their operational and service readiness. The mobilization of all available material and human resources aims primarily to enable pilgrims from around the world to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility, within a comprehensive system of services that meets the leadership's aspirations and fulfills the needs of the guests of God on their great spiritual journey.
