Cabinet: Welcomes Syria agreement and condemns Gaza violations
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect him - chaired the Cabinet meeting held today in the capital, Riyadh, which addressed a number of important political and regional issues, most notably the developments in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Gaza Strip.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet commended the positive developments on the Syrian scene, praising the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for their cooperation with the intensive diplomatic efforts led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in coordination and cooperation with the United States of America. The Council reiterated its strong condemnation of the ongoing violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces.
The Council affirmed that these Israeli violations not only constitute a breach of international law, but also directly undermine all international efforts to solidify the ceasefire and achieve a permanent cessation of hostilities.
