The Minister of Municipalities and Housing meets with the Bahraini Minister of Housing in Riyadh

In a move reflecting the deep fraternal and strategic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Real Estate, met with Her Excellency Amna Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This important meeting took place on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the "Future Real Estate Forum," held in Riyadh from January 26 to 28, with broad regional and international participation.
Strengthening partnerships in the housing sector
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in housing and urban planning, emphasizing the importance of exchanging expertise and technical knowledge between the two brotherly countries. The discussion addressed mechanisms for developing housing policies and programs to ensure the sustainability and diversity of housing solutions, meeting the aspirations of citizens in both countries. The two ministers noted that effective partnerships and the integration of successful experiences are key elements in supporting urban development and improving the efficiency of the housing sector, which positively impacts the quality of life.
Future Real Estate Forum: A Global Platform
This meeting coincides with the launch of the fifth edition of the Future Real Estate Forum, which has become a global platform bringing together real estate leaders, investors, and decision-makers to discuss future challenges and opportunities. The forum addresses vital topics including innovation in real estate finance, smart cities, modern construction technologies, and environmental sustainability in urban projects, making the presence of Gulf leaders an ideal opportunity to unify visions for the future of urban development in the region.
The depth of Saudi-Bahraini relations
These discussions build upon a long legacy of deep-rooted historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, fostered by the leadership of both countries. The Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council works diligently to enhance economic and developmental integration across various sectors. Housing and urban development is a cornerstone of this cooperation, as both kingdoms share ambitious visions embodied in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which aim to increase homeownership rates and develop modern and sustainable infrastructure.
The importance of exchanging regional experiences
This cooperation is particularly important given the comprehensive urban development underway in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Saudi Arabia, through its diverse housing programs and initiatives to regulate the real estate sector, has set a leading example in the region, and Bahrain similarly possesses a long-standing experience in social housing projects. Sharing these experiences will not only accelerate progress but also enhance the region's ability to attract foreign real estate investment and create an urban environment conducive to economic and social growth.
