Details of the Religious Affairs plan for the Hajj season 1447 AH and initiatives

The General Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina officially announced the launch of its Religious Affairs Plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season . This plan is one of the largest operational and guidance plans in the Presidency's history. It aims to reinforce the values of moderation and provide comprehensive religious services utilizing modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence, thereby facilitating the performance of rituals and enriching the spiritual experience for millions of pilgrims arriving from all corners of the globe.
Historical dimensions in serving the guests of God
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always given the utmost care to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, from the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – to the present prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman. This operational plan is a natural extension of these ongoing historical efforts, as services have evolved from traditional care to a comprehensive digital institutional system that strives to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence in serving the pilgrims and fulfilling the aspirations of the wise leadership.
Details and objectives of the Religious Affairs plan for the Hajj season 1447 AH
During a media briefing held at the Presidency headquarters in Mecca, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sudais, Head of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, revealed that the plan includes more than 150 enriching initiatives to be implemented throughout the Hajj season. The plan also encompasses 10 major enrichment tracks and provides guidance and counseling services in 60 different international languages to ensure that the message of moderation and Islamic teachings reaches all pilgrims, regardless of their language or ethnicity.
Employing artificial intelligence and modern digital technologies
In a related context, Sheikh Al-Sudais emphasized that the use of artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies is a fundamental pillar of this year's operational plan. This digital transformation aims to facilitate pilgrims' access to religious rulings, scholarly lessons, and answers to their questions in an easy and efficient manner, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's Year of Artificial Intelligence objectives, to ensure an ideal worship environment supported by the latest technological solutions.
Local and international impact of promoting the values of moderation and centrism
The impact of this ambitious plan extends beyond the local level, serving as a beacon of Islamic and cultural influence on both regional and international levels. By broadcasting lessons and initiatives in 60 languages, the Presidency contributes to spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence and combating extremist ideologies, thereby enhancing the positive image of Islam globally. These efforts underscore the Kingdom's leading role as a leader of the Islamic world and a cradle of human civilization.
Integrated executive pathways to serve pilgrims
For his part, Osama bin Abdulaziz Al-Zamil, General Advisor at the Presidency of Religious Affairs, reviewed the executive programs of the plan, which is based on achieving seven strategic objectives for the Presidency. He explained that the plan operates along two main tracks: enriching, high-quality initiatives, and routine operational activities that will be intensified and expanded during the Hajj season. These programs include organizing Quran memorization circles, distributing copies of the Quran, and activating the role of imams and muezzins in enriching the spiritual experience of pilgrims.
For his part, the supervisor of media and communication at the Presidency, Salem bin Ali Arijah, praised the pivotal role of the media in highlighting the lofty message of the Two Holy Mosques and conveying its moderate contents to the whole world, stressing the complete readiness to receive the guests of God in accordance with the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
