The efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in receiving Russian pilgrims in Al-Bathaa

As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's utmost care for pilgrims, efforts continue to provide the best possible services to those arriving to perform Hajj. In this context, the efforts of the Eastern Province branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance were particularly noteworthy in welcoming Russian pilgrims arriving from the Russian Federation via the Al-Batha land border crossing. These pilgrims numbered over 390, and they were greeted with a warm welcome reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to facilitating their spiritual journey from the moment they arrived in the Kingdom, in accordance with the approved operational plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season.
A long history of caring for the guests of God
This exceptional reception was not a spontaneous event, but rather an extension of a long and distinguished history of care and attention provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah. Since the Kingdom's founding, the leadership has placed serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors at the forefront of its priorities. Land border crossings, such as Al-Batha, are vital arteries connecting the Kingdom to the world. These crossings have witnessed tremendous development over the decades, transforming from simple transit points into integrated cities offering advanced logistical, health, and religious services. Facilitating the Hajj journey for those coming from distant countries reflects the extent of the development in infrastructure and the strategic plans adopted by state institutions to facilitate the performance of the fifth pillar of Islam.
Awareness programs and gifts during the reception of Russian pilgrims
During the reception of Russian pilgrims, the Al-Batha border crossing witnessed a significant presence of Ministry of Islamic Affairs personnel alongside volunteer teams. The reception included the distribution of gifts and informational and guidance materials translated into several languages to cater to the diverse needs of the pilgrims. More than 1,083 publications were distributed, including educational and guidance materials, in addition to smart cards with QR codes granting pilgrims access to the Ministry's digital library. This digital initiative aims to enrich the pilgrims' experience and facilitate their easy access to religious and guidance content, thus helping them perform their rituals in the best possible way.
Intensive outreach efforts to educate pilgrims
The services provided were not limited to the physical and digital aspects, but also included direct guidance. Preachers participating in the Hajj operations at the Al-Batha border crossing offered a service called "Answering Questions," which benefited 25 pilgrims, addressing their religious inquiries related to the rituals. In addition, 38 religious and educational lectures were delivered, focusing on educating pilgrims about the rulings of the Hajj rituals and reinforcing the guidance related to the etiquette and noble objectives of Hajj. These integrated efforts reflect the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance's commitment to harnessing all human and technological resources to serve pilgrims and educate them about the rulings of the Hajj rituals according to the moderate and balanced approach.
Regional and international impact of successful crowd management
The Kingdom's success in organizing and facilitating the entry of thousands of pilgrims through its various ports of entry carries profound implications and far-reaching impact. Domestically, this success enhances the efficiency of government agencies and highlights the role of national and volunteer personnel in crowd management and the provision of humanitarian services. Regionally and internationally, providing high-quality services to pilgrims from major countries reflects the Kingdom's soft power and its exceptional ability to host millions of Muslims from diverse cultures and languages simultaneously in one place. This meticulous organization sends a reassuring message to the entire Islamic world, affirming that the Kingdom will always remain a safe haven and the foremost sponsor of the pilgrims, thus reinforcing its leading position in the Islamic world and internationally.
