The Kingdom's efforts in receiving Russian pilgrims through the Al-Batha border crossing

As part of the intensive preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has begun receiving Russian pilgrims through its land border crossings. The Governor of Al-Udayd, Mr. Nayef Al-Qaws, inspected the operational readiness of the pilgrims' city at the Al-Batha border crossing. This inspection tour coincided with the arrival of the first convoys of Russian pilgrims, aiming to directly assess the level of services provided and facilitate crossing procedures to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims from the moment they arrive in the Kingdom.
The ongoing historical care for the guests of God
Historically, since its founding, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed great importance on serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. This care has evolved over the decades to include massive infrastructure expansions and the development of a comprehensive system of logistical, health, and security services. The influx of pilgrims from all corners of the earth, including Europe and Asia, reflects the deep historical significance of the Kingdom's Islamic mission. Efforts to facilitate the Hajj pilgrimage are an integral part of the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to enriching the religious and cultural experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers, and to providing a global model for efficient and effective crowd management.
Government agencies coordinated during the reception of Russian pilgrims
The governor's field tour included inspecting the halls and facilities designated to serve pilgrims, where he met with officials from government agencies operating at the port to monitor workflow. The visit also included reviewing the preparations of the General Directorate of Passports, the Zakat and Tax Authority, and Customs to ensure the swift completion of customs and passport procedures. The readiness of the health monitoring center, which provides primary and preventative medical care, was also confirmed, as was the readiness of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah center, which coordinates and directly supervises the movement of pilgrims.
Advanced equipment to facilitate crossing
The tour was not limited to procedural and health aspects, but also included inspecting the facilities of the Department of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and the headquarters of the General Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice. This comprehensive presence aims to ensure the integration of roles among the various sectors and to provide religious guidance and instruction in multiple languages to suit arriving pilgrims. Field leaders at the port of entry explained that government efforts are being combined in an unprecedented manner to provide the necessary services and expedite the entry procedures for pilgrims with ease and safety, reflecting the technological and organizational development witnessed at the Kingdom's ports of entry.
The regional and international impact of successful Hajj organization
The Kingdom's success in managing the Hajj seasons and accommodating millions of pilgrims annually is of paramount importance and has a profound impact at the local, regional, and international levels. Locally, this success contributes to strengthening infrastructure and developing public services. Regionally and internationally, it underscores the Kingdom's exceptional ability to manage the world's largest human gathering peacefully and securely, thus reinforcing its leading position in the Islamic world and on the international stage. Providing comprehensive care and exceptional facilities for the pilgrims reflects the directives of the wise leadership and presents the Kingdom's bright image as a cradle of Islam and peace, capable of building bridges of cultural and religious communication with all the peoples of the world.
