Three Saudi citizens were transferred from Egypt via medical evacuation to complete their treatment
As part of ongoing efforts to care for Saudi citizens abroad, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Arab Republic of Egypt announced on Saturday the successful transfer of three Saudi citizens suffering from critical health conditions via medical evacuation plane from Cairo International Airport to their homeland to complete their treatment.
The embassy explained in an official statement on its X platform that it directly monitored, in close cooperation with the relevant Egyptian authorities, all procedures for transferring the three citizens. The operation was carried out using a Saudi Ministry of Defense Health Services aircraft, equipped with the latest medical technologies for handling critical cases during air transport.
State care for citizens abroad
This event embodies the concern of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – for the health and safety of citizens wherever they may be. Medical air evacuations are an integral part of the healthcare system provided by the Kingdom to its citizens who experience emergency medical conditions abroad. The state dedicates all its resources to ensure their safe return and that they receive the necessary medical care in specialized hospitals within the Kingdom.

These aircraft are equipped as "flying intensive care units," staffed by qualified medical and nursing teams capable of handling various emergency and critical cases.
