Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud chairs the annual meeting of the princes of the 33 regions

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, chaired today annual meeting of the Princes of the Regions , via remote video conferencing technology, to discuss a number of vital security and development files that affect the lives of citizens and residents in the Kingdom.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud conveyed to Their Highnesses the Princes of the regions the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them - stressing the generous directives that stipulate the necessity of maintaining security and facilitating all matters for citizens, residents and visitors wherever they are in the various parts of the Kingdom.
The importance of the annual meeting of regional governors in promoting development
holds The annual meeting of regional governors significant strategic importance, serving as the essential link between the central leadership and local administrations in the Kingdom's thirteen regions. This meeting takes place within a renewed historical context for the Kingdom, where the responsibilities of regional governors are no longer limited to traditional security and administrative matters, but have expanded to include direct oversight of economic and social development.
The regularity of these meetings reflects the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to unify visions and policies and coordinate efforts between different regions, to ensure the application of quality standards in the services provided, in line with major national transformations.
Security and stability are the cornerstones of sustainable development
The Minister of Interior and Their Royal Highnesses the Princes of the Regions commended the wise directives of the leadership – may God protect them – to enhance security and stability, especially in light of the current circumstances in the region, and to dedicate all resources to maintaining the safety and security of everyone residing in the Kingdom. They also discussed the efforts being made to accommodate all those stranded in the Kingdom's airports and abroad, including our brothers and sisters from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
His Highness and the princes of the regions expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them - for the great services provided by the wise leadership to the guests of God during the blessed month of Ramadan, praising the efforts made by all sectors in this regard, and praying to God Almighty to perpetuate the security and glory of this country.
Aligning administrative work with the Kingdom's Vision 2030
During the meeting, the agenda items aimed at strengthening security and stability, achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, and serving the nation were reviewed. Participants discussed reports and working papers designed to enhance the capabilities of regional emirates in fulfilling their duties, support development opportunities, bolster the non-profit sector, and actively contribute to improving the quality of life within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The meeting also focused on the importance of continuing to develop administrative and developmental services by harmonizing the spatial supervisory scope between government agencies, making the most of the use of artificial intelligence capabilities, in addition to achieving smart digital government to reach excellence in government performance, which reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to adopting the latest technologies to serve humanity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Their Highnesses reached a number of recommendations in preparation for submitting them to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect them.
