Al-Anzi cited the Prophet's guidance in this regard, noting that the prayer through which one's salvation is attained was not subject to reprimand until after the age of ten, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and discipline them for it when they are ten." She affirmed that the long years preceding this age are sufficient to guide them towards sound nature and accustom them to values without resorting to harsh solutions.
She emphasized the importance of gentleness, citing the Prophet's saying (peace and blessings be upon him): “Gentleness adorns whatever it is found in, and its absence mars whatever it is found in.” She concluded by offering essential messages to all educators and mentors, explaining that harsh parenting weakens a child's character instead of strengthening it, and that successful parenting is based on patience, understanding, and consideration of the child's age. Gentleness beautifies behavior and fosters positive responses, while its absence leads to the opposite effect, damaging the relationship with the parent or educator.
