Princess Nourah University organizes Nasaq 14 Visual Arts Exhibition

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University 's College of Design and Arts is preparing to launch the "Nasaq 14" exhibition tomorrow, Thursday, December 4, 2025. This event is a leading artistic platform through which the university will showcase approximately 30 outstanding graduation projects by students in the sculpture track of the Visual Arts program, in addition to the outputs of the photography program, at the college's premises on campus.
This exhibition comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is witnessing unprecedented cultural and artistic activity, in line with the goals of Vision 2030, which places great importance on the culture and arts sector as a pillar of quality of life and a driver of economic and social development. Such academic exhibitions contribute to enriching the Saudi art scene with qualified young talents capable of expressing national identity through contemporary styles that keep pace with global developments in the visual arts.
The exhibition will continue until December 7, 2025. The works on display in the sculpture track address themes that embody the authentic Saudi identity and reflect the students’ deep awareness of the physical and psychological aspects of man, and the extent of his connection to the place and his interactions with his social environment, through multiple visual and technical treatments that highlight their skills in adapting materials.
In a related vein, this year's photography program graduation projects are distinguished by their rich diversity, encompassing intellectual, aesthetic, and cultural themes. The exhibition highlights projects inspired by Saudi heritage, including traditional costumes, proverbs, and local symbols, all presented with a contemporary flair. It also features works that explore the relationship between humanity and nature through the use of clay, plants, and light reflections, as well as pieces showcasing the aesthetics of food photography and Arabic calligraphy using modern photographic techniques that blend tradition and experimentation.
This event reflects Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University's commitment, as the world's largest women's university, to empowering Saudi women in various creative fields. The "Nasaq 14" exhibition aligns with the university's 2025 strategic plan, which aims to develop competitive talent for the job market and provide a stimulating learning environment that fosters innovation and creativity, thereby enhancing women's pioneering role in the comprehensive national development process.
For her part, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Qabaa, Head of the Visual Arts Department at the college, explained that this year's exhibition is an enhanced version that aligns with the ongoing updates to the academic programs, aiming to prepare students for professional artistic practice. She added, "The exhibition seeks to empower students to undergo a comprehensive experience, starting with the preparation of the artistic proposal in a research format, moving through technical and intellectual execution, and culminating in a public exhibition as a first step towards launching their careers in the job market.".
The exhibition provides a vibrant space for interaction between students, the public, and art enthusiasts, contributing to the exchange of experiences and bridging the gap between academic output and the demands of the professional world. The exhibition welcomes visitors on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Sundays, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, are reserved exclusively for women to explore creative works that embody heritage through a renewed artistic vision.
