The Grand Mufti of Kyrgyzstan praises Saudi Arabia's role in serving Islam and Muslims

The Grand Mufti of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sheikh Abdulaziz Zakirov, praised the leading and pivotal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims across the globe, emphasizing that the relations between the two brotherly countries are characterized by strength and historical depth, and are based on the bonds of sincere Islamic brotherhood. This came during the inauguration ceremony of the annual Ramadan programs implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.
Serving Islam and Muslims: The Kingdom's noble mission and the depth of its relations
In discussing the Kingdom's efforts, the Grand Mufti explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, spares no effort in promoting the values of tolerance and moderation, and in disseminating Islam's tolerant message based on mercy and coexistence. These efforts are an extension of a long history of diplomatic and fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and the Central Asian states, where the Kingdom has always been at the forefront of providing assistance and support to religious and educational institutions. This reflects its awareness of its responsibility as the Qibla of Muslims and the birthplace of revelation, in serving Islam and Muslims and attending to their affairs.

The Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, witnessed the launch of the "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift" program for distributing dates and providing iftar meals for those fasting during Ramadan. The ceremony was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Kingdom's Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Rashid, along with a number of senior officials from the Kyrgyz Presidential Office and Cabinet, as well as university presidents and representatives of charitable organizations. This program, overseen directly by His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, underscores the continued and renewed Saudi generosity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Growing figures reflect the scale of the donation
Statistics released during the ceremony revealed a significant increase in aid this year, with 10 tons of dates allocated for distribution in Kyrgyzstan, an increase of 5 tons compared to last year, expanding the number of beneficiaries to nearly 40,000 people. Humanitarian dimensions and Islamic solidarity that transcends borders
The importance of these programs extends beyond mere relief efforts; they carry profound implications that underscore the unity of the Muslim world. Such initiatives leave a lasting impact on the Kyrgyz people and enhance the Kingdom's positive image as a nation that champions peace and charitable work. Internationally, these efforts highlight the Kingdom's soft power and its ability to strengthen diplomatic and public ties through organized humanitarian action, thus solidifying its position as a leader of the Muslim world and a key supporter of stability and development in Muslim societies.
The Grand Mufti of Kyrgyzstan concluded his statement by expressing his deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom’s leadership and its generous people, noting that these programs are widely appreciated and widely accepted in Kyrgyz circles, and praying to God to protect the Kingdom and perpetuate its blessings of security and safety.
