The Minister of Interior performs the funeral prayer for Lieutenant General Saeed Al-Qahtani
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, performed the funeral prayer for His Excellency Lieutenant General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs, after the afternoon prayer on Friday, at the King Khalid Mosque in Riyadh, amidst an atmosphere of sadness over the passing of one of the most prominent security leaders in the Kingdom.
Following the prayer, His Highness the Minister of Interior conveyed the condolences and sympathy of the wise leadership – may God support them – represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, to the sons and relatives of the deceased, asking God Almighty to have mercy on him and grant him a spacious place in Paradise, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace in this great tragedy.
Official and popular attendance at the farewell to the deceased
The prayer ceremony witnessed a remarkable attendance of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and senior officials in the Ministry of Interior, in addition to a large number of security leaders from various military sectors, and a large crowd of citizens who came to participate in the funeral of the deceased, reflecting the great status that the deceased enjoyed in the community and the security establishment.

The late Lieutenant General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani was a prominent security figure who served the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for many decades. He rose through the ranks, holding numerous sensitive leadership positions, including Director of Public Security, and played a pivotal role in developing the field security system. His passing comes after a long and dedicated service to his faith, his king, and his country, leaving behind a distinguished legacy of institutional security work that contributed to safeguarding the nation's resources and achievements.
