Global harmony: Sudanese culture shines in Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh

In a festive atmosphere reflecting the spirit of tolerance and coexistence, the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, organized by the Ministry of Media in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority and the Quality of Life Program, welcomed thousands of visitors this evening at Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh. Attendees from various nationalities flocked to enjoy the events of the week dedicated to Sudanese culture, an event that embodies the deep bonds of brotherhood and cultural exchange between peoples.

Artworks from the heart of Khartoum in Riyadh

Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the highlights of Riyadh Season, hosted a diverse artistic carnival where Sudanese cultural groups presented live performances that transported visitors to the atmosphere of different Sudanese regions. The events included traditional folk dances, popular musical rhythms, and a display of traditional costumes that reflect authentic Sudanese identity, creating a joyful and engaging experience for the audience.

Strategic dimensions: Enhancing quality of life

The “Global Harmony” initiative is not merely an entertainment event; it aligns perfectly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically within the “Quality of Life” program. This initiative aims to highlight the lives of residents in the Kingdom and showcase the cultural diversity the country embraces, thus reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination that fosters diverse cultures and underscoring the role of residents as active members of the social fabric.

Public interaction and diverse activities

The events featured wide participation from a selection of top Sudanese artists who presented a mix of modern and traditional songs, which the audience enthusiastically sang along to. The initiative also catered to children, with a dedicated stage offering puppet shows, circus acts, and educational cultural challenges, making the event an ideal destination for families to spend enjoyable and enriching time.

Successive successes for the initiative

It is worth noting that the second edition of the “Global Harmony” initiative achieved record numbers, attracting more than two million visitors since its launch. The initiative successfully showcased the heritage of 14 global cultures representing the communities residing in the Kingdom, highlighting their customs, traditions, cuisine, and music, in addition to introducing the services provided to them, reflecting the Kingdom’s open and welcoming environment for all.

The Ministry of Information is scheduled to conclude the Sudanese Week activities tomorrow, after a busy few days that witnessed a large public turnout, during which the events reflected the richness and diversity of the Sudanese cultural heritage, and left a distinctive mark in the memory of visitors to the Riyadh Season.
