In detailing the project, Faisal Al-Zahrani, the official spokesperson for the Eastern Province Municipality and Director General of the General Administration of Media, confirmed that these projects represent a significant addition to the urban infrastructure of the province. The two projects included the construction of 3,900 meters of walking tracks, covering a vast area of ​​approximately 26,400 square meters. To promote environmental sustainability, the work included planting 350 trees and 536 shrubs, in addition to distributing 78 benches and 46 waste containers.

Al-Zahrani also explained that 205 decorative lighting poles were installed to enhance the visual landscape, and three artistic sculptures were created in King Fahd Suburb. To ensure safety, 110 safety barriers were installed, a large 15-meter-long canopy was erected, and directional and informational signs were provided at the Al-Murqab track.

Recreational and sports facilities that meet the aspirations of generations

In the area of ​​recreation and sports, the municipality has allocated dedicated areas for games and fitness equipment. These areas include 12 games in the King Fahd suburb, covering an area of ​​1,500 square meters. Additionally, five modern fitness machines have been provided at the Al-Murqab track, along with the creation of a comprehensive 15-meter-long play area suitable for various age groups.

Al-Zahrani concluded his remarks by emphasizing that these development efforts are in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to create urban environments that support a healthy lifestyle and meet the aspirations of future generations in building a vibrant society and a thriving environment.
