A high-level delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) commended the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in Gaza. This kitchen provides daily hot meals to families in displacement camps, with a production capacity of approximately 25,000 meals per day. The kitchen operates continuously and diligently to enhance food security and alleviate the harsh living conditions faced by affected families. The delegation observed the kitchen's operations, from the preparation and processing of meals according to the highest standards of quality and hygiene, to the transportation and distribution processes. They also commended the tremendous efforts of the field teams from the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, the center's implementing partner in the sector.
Distribution points and management of relief supplies
The visit was not limited to the central kitchen; it also included an inspection of food basket distribution points.
