Results of the sixth day of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025

The excitement and competitive spirit continued at the Saudi Falcons Club headquarters in Mulham (north of Riyadh), as the sixth day of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 a surge in activity and wide participation from amateur falconers. On Tuesday, six qualifying rounds were held for local amateurs, amidst a remarkable public turnout that reflects the event's status as the world's largest gathering of falconers.
Details of the amateur race results on the sixth day
The six rounds saw the participation of 219 falcons distributed across various categories, including pure Gyrfalcon, Gyr-Peregrine hybrid, and Gyr-Saker hybrid, for both young and adult falcons. The detailed results for the top positions are as follows:
- Gyr Purebred Chick Round: Falconer Sultan Al-Dosari won first place with his falcon (Houdour), followed by Abdulrahman Al-Muhaini with his falcon (Adeem), then Fahd Bin Shuwayya with his falcon (Mutlaq).
- Purebred Gyrfalcon race: Mohammed Ghanem Al-Dosari achieved first place with the falcon (Symbol), Hamad bin Nafel Al-Marri came in second with (Fazza), and Saeed Batihan Al-Marri came in third with (Namous).
- Gyrfalcon chick race: Hamad Abdulrahman Al-Marri won first place with (Al-Zaeem), Nader Al-Mutairi came in second with (Sky), and Sultan Al-Dosari came in third with (Layl).
- Gyrfalcon Shaheen Qarnas round: Mubarak Al-Qahtani won first place with the falcon (Mansour), Waleed Al-Afees came second with (Qannad), and Badr Al-Shammari came third with (Shakhit).
- In the Gyrfalcon chick category, Hatem Al-Khaldi achieved first place with the falcon (Khurmas), followed by Adel Al-Mutairi with (Matrouk), and Faisal Salem Al-Marri with (J911).
- The Gyrfalcon race concluded with Abdullah Al-Ajmi winning first place with (Tamam), Abdulrazzaq Al-Thawadi came in second with (Phobia), and Mohammed Ghanem Al-Dosari came in third with (Cruz).
King Abdulaziz Festival: Global Leadership and Cultural Heritage
The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival is not only a venue for sporting competition, but also a major cultural and heritage event aimed at strengthening national identity and preserving the tradition of falconry, which is inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In its previous editions, the festival has successfully entered the Guinness World Records as the largest falconry competition in the world in terms of the number of participating falcons, placing the Kingdom at the forefront of the international scene for this ancient sport.
Huge prizes and unlimited support for falconers
As part of its ongoing support for the falconry sector, the Saudi Falcons Club has allocated substantial prize money exceeding 38 million Saudi Riyals , distributed across 1,012 prizes in 139 races. The main competitions are divided into the Al-Malwah race, a 400-meter speed contest, and the Al-Mazayin competition, which focuses on the aesthetic qualities of falcons according to precise criteria.
The festival continues to welcome falconers and visitors until January 10, 2026, bringing together a select group of local and international falconers, contributing to the exchange of experiences and the development of the falconry hobby, in addition to its vital role in stimulating tourism and the economy in the region, thus confirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leadership in hosting major heritage events.
